Celebrating Milestones With Castile Soap
This Sunday is a doubly happy day as Father’s Day and my birthday both fall on June 18th. While Father’s Day is only a hallmark holiday, I love the idea of dedicating, celebrating, and honoring fathers and father figures in our lives.
What’s my ideal birthday celebration? Making an unforgettable and enjoyable family day. It doesn’t matter if we stay close to home, or embark on a distant adventure, having my loved ones nearby is the most important element. Birthday and Father's Day Gifts are not required.
So, buckle up and get ready to embark with me as I plan a memorable party and share some of my favorite birthday (and Father’s Day) activities. Trust me, it'll be a lather-load of fun!
Picnic & Sudsy Shenanigans
Who says a birthday celebration can’t be frothy and fabulous? This year we will be heading to a great park for a picnic and outdoor activities. Our trunk will be packed with bbq essentials and some humorous games for the whole family. This year, I invented a game that I’ll affectionately call "Soap Wars", a competition for the best and biggest bubbles, using Whole Naturals. Even my elderly uncles and aunts can unleash their inner child during this activity. I’ve packed pipe cleaners, recycled soda bottles, scissors, and shoelaces to make a variety of our own DIY bubble wands.
Virtual Celebration
What's Father's Day without a healthy dose of dad jokes? With some of my family living across the country, it’s easier than ever to connect to my loved ones with a group “Zoom” called planned for late Sunday evening. Everyone participating needs to be prepared with their best DAD JOKE! We’ll take turns telling jokes and rate each other's performances.
Pampering for Father's Day
After an exhausting day, the icing on my cake will be a refreshing and calming treat of pampering. By the way – fathers need pampering too! My family knows I love scented candles, soothing music, and a foot-soak. (In my e-book also have a fabulous foot scrub recipe!) To a basin, I just add some hot water, Castile Soap, and add my favored lavender essential oil – bliss is just on the horizon.
Foot Soak Recipe
Ingredients
Basin of hot water (between 92 and 100 degrees is ideal)
1 & ½ tsp Whole Naturals Castile Soap
Essential oils of your choice
Add all ingredients together, ease in your tired tootsies, and enjoy.
While it is a monumental task to undertake and execute Soap-ercharge family celebrations, I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do.
Happy Father’s Day and Happy Birthday to ME!
P.S. Don’t forget to read this week’s newsletter to see if you’re the winner – in honor of my birthday, I’m giving away two $50 Amazon gift cards!
