Celebrate International Women's Day

My Dear Readers,

While it's only been about 50 years since the United Nations recognized International Women's day (IWD), it has been celebrated on March 8th since the early 1900s. Protests, for the right to vote, in 1908 caught the attention of other women around the world, and soon, International Women's Day was born. First celebrated in 1911, and it quickly became a day for women to come together, share their stories, and fight for their rights.

Over the years, International Women's Day evolved into a global celebration and has taken on many forms. In some countries, it's a day for women to receive flowers and gifts from their loved ones. In others, it's a day for women to protest and demand change and a call to action for gender parity. This year's theme is the "Celebration of gender equality through innovation and technology."
