is Castile Soap non-toxic Whole Naturals

My Dear Readers,

I love reading your emails!! As my community of customers, I enjoy learning about how you customize your Castile Soap experience, and the questions you have about Castile Soap. This week, I was asked two different - but connected - questions. A community member asked if they could use Whole Naturals Castile Soap for washing parts of a baby pump, and another question was if our Castile Soap is non-toxic. These are such great questions, that I'm going to group them together, and answer them here!

Is Whole Naturals Castile Soap Non-Toxic?

We're happy to share that Whole Naturals Pure Unscented Castile Soap is non-toxic, but what does non-toxic soap mean? It means the suds washing down the drain are not harmful to the environment, is biodegradable and the residue left on your dishes is not harmful.

Whole Naturals Castile Soap meets EWG’s Skin Deep Program's strictest standards for health and safety. It avoids any of the ingredients on EWG’s “Unacceptable List” and provides full transparency of ingredients, including fragrance. We are proudly EWG™ verified.

Our Castile Soap is made from vegan, organically certified plant-based oils. Without any animal fats or synthetic ingredients (such as detergents or foaming agents) it is also fragrance free.

Whole Naturals Castile Soap has been formulated with a unique blend of different oils - include almond, coconut, apricot and hemp oils. This combination creates a luscious lather, for your personal cleansing needs, and is versatile enough to work as a great natural household cleaner.

10 reasons to use Whole Naturals Castile Soap

Can you use Whole Naturals for Pump Parts?

For most pumps, you can use any soap intended for washing dishes. Most manufacturers suggest avoiding antibacterial soap because it can contain additives and chemicals that may not be safe for regular, daily use to wash breast pump parts. Anti-bacterial soaps contain chemical antimicrobial agents like Tricoslan and Benzethonium chloride. These kill but don't remove contagions. Castile soaps work because it attaches to dirt and germs and rinses them away, leaving behind a clean surface.

And that's the news you're looking for!! As an organic soap - with no toxic ingredients - Whole Naturals is a great choice for washing pump parts. But, we want to emphasize that you should definitely read the manufacturers' directions before using any soap for your pump.

Our most popular dilution ratios (for dish washing) is about 1:10. We suggest adding it to a reusable squeeze bottle, so you'll have it conveniently available when needed! But don't forget, our dilution ratios are flexible!! If you have hard water, soft water or are using distilled water, you may choose to add more soap. That's the best part - if you're a fan of more luxurious lather, add a bit more soap to get those bubbles blowing! And...let's not forget - when you're washing your dishes, add your choice of food-safe essential oils to customize your experience!

Keep those questions coming!

Cheers!
