My Dear Friends and Cleaning Enthusiasts,
I stepped out of my front door today, greeted by a storm front that froze my hair! Winter is definitely here to stay. I am sitting at my kitchen table, trying to warm my hands with the ambient heat from my coffee mug, surrounded by lists, my mind on the upcoming holiday season. My extended family will be joining us this year, and I look forward to being surrounded by loved ones, and creating cherished memories, and to revel in the joy of family togetherness. There's a special kind of magic in the air—one that is woven from the threads of love, unity, and the joyous spirit of the holidays.
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, I find it so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of responsibilities and obligations. However, this is the time of year when I need a gentle reminder to pause, reflect, and appreciate the blessings that surround me. Family, after all, is the heart of the holiday season—a source of strength, support, and unwavering love.
With each family get together, it usually is my task organize a family activity, allowing us to capture a memory to package into the future. One of our favored activities is story telling, and we do it with zest, vigor, props and even voices. It's an "around the dinner table" activity that all ages can participate him, and leads to hearty and healthy bouts of laughter. Each year, we self-publish a photobook with that year's stoy, and accompanying pictures. We are building our family legacy.
Picture this: the whole family gathered in the kitchen, preparing a festive feast. Is there a secret ingredient that elevates these moments into something truly special? It's the little details—the warmth of a shared smile, the comfort of a familiar embrace, and the subtle kitchen scents that linger in the air. Our days are divided into sleeping, cooking, eating - rinse and repeat!
It's the little things. The aroma of delicious food. Waking early in the morning. It's hard work, but we are very blessed to share our holidays with our loved ones.
